Historic Ligonier cordially invites you to visit our scenic valley
Welcome to the historic Ligonier Valley – recognized by The Washington Post as a “Small-Town Charmer.” Steeped in French & Indian War history at Fort Ligonier, the town is filled with more than 70 specialty shops, restaurants and places to stay. The Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce hosts special events year-round from Icefest to Antiques on the Diamond to Fort Ligonier Days. The scenic valley which surrounds the town is the site of Idlewild & SoakZone – voted “Best Amusement Park for Children in the World,” as well as Compass Inn Museum, Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, Linn Run State Park and many others.
Located in the very heart of the town of Ligonier is The Diamond, shown at left. This beautiful little park is home to trees, flowers and birds. There are park benches and a historic bandstand where band concerts and other events are held. The Diamond is surrounded by unique shops & businesses and even our majestic Town Hall. The streets extend out in all four directions from The Diamond to even more of our town's shops, restaurants and attractions. The Diamond is properly named because it truly is a jewel in the center of our town.
This web site contains a wealth of information about all of the best that Ligonier has to offer. Our places to stay, eat, shop and much, much more is available here at your fingertips.
