area. Since many of these events happen at the same time each year,
we will leave them posted throughout the year. We will continue to add
more events and update this information regularly. If you need more
specific information about any of the events presented here, please
contact us or check our News page. You can find additional events by visiting the web sites listed on the "Events" tab of the menu bar.

January 2013
* 22nd Annual Ligonier Ice Fest - Jan. 26 - 27, 2013 - On the Diamond. Ice artists create masterpieces
from blocks of ice located on and within 1 block of the Diamond area. Carving starts at 10am on Saturday, Noon on Sunday.
3rd Annual Chill Chaser - Jan. 26, 2013 from 3 to 5 PM at the Ligonier Theatre, 208 West Main St. Fun for those 21 and over! Enjoy homemade soups from Bethlen Communities, hearty breads from Darlington Inn, a variety of local wines and a live local band to chase away those winter chills! $20 per person. 4th Annual Soup's On - March 23, 2013 - 10am - 2pm - Sample “signature soups” from local restaurants in participating stores. Call 724-238-4200 for more details.

22nd Annual Tastes of the Town - April 11, 2013 - Hosted by the Ligonier Valley Historical Society at Ligonier Country Inn,
features a wide variety of sumptuous treats provided by area

Ligonier - opens for the season April 13, 2013.
5th Annual Model Railroad Home Tour - April 27, 2013, 9am to 4pm - The tour will visit multiple layouts and displays in Westmoreland County. This is a fundraiser for the Ligonier Valley Rail Road Association's museum. There are a limited number of tickets available and no tickets will be sold after April 20th, so call now! May 2013
 Compass
Inn (shown at right) opens May 1, 2013. Compass Inn
is a restored stagecoach stop from 1799 furnished with period
pieces. It is located 3 miles east of Ligonier in Laughlintown
on Route 30 and is a project of the Ligonier Valley Historical
Society.
An American Songline - May 2, 2013, 7:30pm - Ligonier Town Hall Auditorium. Singer and composer Cecelia Otto brings her cross-country musical journey along the Lincoln Highway to Ligonier. Join her for an evening of vintage vaudeville and light classical songs. Admission is free.
* Community Day in Ligonier Valley - May 5, 2013
- Free admission for all visitors to Fort Ligonier, Compass Inn Museum, Antiochian Village Heritage Center, Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor Experience, Ligonier Valley Rail Road Museum, and Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in the Ligonier Valley!
At Fort Ligonier, you will experience Colonial Culture, Customs and Craftsmen. Meet British Officers, see Blacksmithing and Field Oven Demonstrations. Special kids activities, too!
Relay For Life - May 17th, 2013 - will be held at Weller Field. Festivities begin at 3pm Friday with official opening ceremony at 6pm. The walk will continue all through the night, with closing ceremonies at 3pm on Saturday, May 18th. For more information, visit the web site.
* Ligonier Country Market - opens Saturday, May 18, 2013 and every Saturday through October 5th, held across from the Grove at Millcreek. Open
